    Evening all,

So long story short, went to the pub, bought a E46 325Ci for £500, and fell in love for the 90s pornstar suede interior. The idea is to make this into a solid daily that looks clean and can also take the abuse.

It's my first time, so if you guys have any tips let me know.

First part of this thread will be abit boring but...

    The plan is to:

    - Treat and completely seal the underside
    - Install Black series bushes all over
    - Tidy the interior/exterior
    - Install complete underside bracing for UltraRacing
    - Upgrade suspension and handling parts.
    - Hydro brake
    - Potentially swap to the touring steering rack for speed
    - Swap to a M54B30 + LSD
    - Install cage which doesn't mess with interior to much.

This is the condition that I bought the car in:

First things first I jacked her up and took a look, underside wasn't as bad as I thought. Subframe looked tired and no signs of the rear end having the reinforcement plates added.

Also I notice someone had a bit of fun with a jack or a kerb and there was a good dent in the sill, along with the standard rear arch rust.

Overall condition isn't that bad compared to the internet stories. I'm going to get the speedshop address the rear subframe first, as the bushes are completely shot. I bought Powerflex Black series subframe bushes and diff bushes which will be installed once the subframe is stripped and powdercoated and the reinforcement plates added to the subframe mounts.

While I'm waiting for that car to go away, I treated her to some new control arms and old school cassette radio.

It all seems rather solid on the underside:

This explains the knocking sound that the previous owner said about, it just fell out:

Subframe could be in better condition, but it's off to shot blast and paint, hopefully not cobwebbed to hell.

Rear drivers shock is knackered and coils looking tired:
