Does anyone know if an E39 530D gearbox would fit up to an M54. My boss has one lying around for dirt cheap so far have read that gear ratios on the 530D gearbox are shorter, that it is a very strong gearbox and has a smoother gear change as it is double syncro’d and for that reason I want to put it into my 325Ci drift car however I don’t want to fork out money buying it only to not have it fit. I am also guessing that possibly clutch would need to be something mix and matched or something like that. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
