Good evening everyone I've got a problem with an engine which as recently been forged. I've spoken to the engine builder which they're saying its normal Right here goes so I've changed the oil & filter twice since collecting. First time we dropped the oil & pulled the filter couldn't help but notice what i can only describe as tiny metal fragments which are magnetic so decided to inspect the filter which was covered loads of tiny metallic bits which almost looked like glitter...changed the oil & filter yesterday again the same does anyone know if this is normal or is this something we should be concerned about?? Thanks for your reply Andy318i. Yes didn't think it was normal well they'll be have the car back to sort this out.
Anything like that, keep the filters or at least take photos to take to the engine builder Small amounts are to be expected, but hard to gauge without seeing what amounts we're talking about

Almost looks like the block wasn't flushed properly after machine work. Does it make any bad noises? Be worth pulling the sump check the oil pick up for bits.
