HI all my Altezza came to me slammed on a set of unknown springs and its very low. Car looks fantastic but the ride is very harsh and the car wont go over speed bumps etc and is too low for every day use. I need to raise the car up a bit but don’t want to go back to sport springs as I suspect they will be a bit too soft. I didn’t really want the agro of coil overs for a daily driver but guess that maybe all that is on offer. Out of the coil overs it’s a choice between the HSD ones or Tein which are more basic but a lot cheaper. Has anyone got any advice for a more usable day driver setup that is easier to live with?

Bought hsd monopro coils for my is200. Where very comfortable on the road. I got very stiff springs though 16/12kg. With the lighter engine in the altezza i would go with 12/10

I have HSD on my altezza daily and they are absolutely spot on.
I run the car low so have big spring rates in now to stop the top arms hitting the chassis but on the standard spring rates and slightly higher it was a really comfy ride.
