Not really a drift car, but it's a bit different it's RWD manual and can do some little skids in the Wet! It has potential to be something special with a welder and a turbo.....

The car started life as a 250D, but has now had a 6 cylinder OM603 (300D) engine with 5 speed manual transmission installed.

It’s a lovely car to drive, it’s something a bit different and has potential to become something really special, or could be used as a super cheap to run reliable daily driver.

The OM603 engine transformed the car, it no longer feels underpowered, the extra power and torque make it much more drivable. It still isn’t a fast car but it has enough power to comfortably keep up with traffic on Today’s roads, and it feels really nice to drive.

The engine sounds a rough on warm up (tappets slow to fill), but is noticeably quiet once warm, pulls cleanly through the rev range, never overheats and doesn’t’ use oil.

If you wanted to make it a fast car a new diesel pump and a turbo will make around 300hp achievable!

The car drives faultlessly, no tyre pull or vibrations, turns in well and ride comfort is still superb even though it is lowered on SLK 15rims

It’s had four replacement dampers, new engine mounts installed when the 6 pot was installed and rear brakes and track rods replaced last year.

Interior condition is good, never been a smokers car. There’s a small tear on the drivers bolster but other than that the seats are in great condition, and apart from a small tear in the headlining the rest of the interior is as well.

The car was re-sprayed to resemble a German taxi, taxi light is included if you want it, the paint job was not done professionally (rattle can), but was done with care and was an improvement over the ageing original pearl blue paint. The Sacco panels and roof are still original (worn) paint.

The bodywork is not perfect as you’d expect for a car of this age, there are some small parking dents and the front bumper has some cracks as can be seen in the photo’s but generally it is in good condition and the panels are straight.

Hi, it's a 1990 it's done just over 97k miles. The underside is good, needed welding around the jacking points but that's all been done properly and it was undersealed last year when the engine went in.

Yeah an unfortunate 10mph bump into a Honda CRV tow bar in the yard last year, sorry forgot to add that into the ad text.

The car is in Milton Keynes.
    Thanks
    Dan
