Hi im wondering if i could somehow fit 4×100 wheels on my e36 compact. Im trying to do a low HP drift car in a japanese style.and before you say anything no i probably wont swap from an 1.8 to a 2.5 i like low power cars ( mostly because they are cheap in my country unlike the 6 cylinders).anyways im trying to do an ea86-ish type of build. That Means really low, no power and small wheels but i dont want stock 15" cuz they ugly. Can it be done? Could i have 4×100 wheels on an e36 compact? Ik People usually dont do that to bimmers and its probably frouned upon but some help would be appreciated
I did have a look into this myself a while back, didn't find many answers. There is a way of converting an E30 to 5x120 using a lot of E36/Z3 parts, so there must be a way of reversing that and using E30 bits to make your E36 4x100. https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/index.php/5-Lug_Conversion "clipzmotorsport" make a dual drilled hub for the E30 which is both 4x100 and 5x120, might be worth speaking to them if they could do the same for an E36, best of both worlds then. https://clipzmotorsport.com/shop/e30/front-axle-e30/clipz-bmw-e30-4x100-5x120-multi-lug-kit/
Quick search on Ebay and found these, they are spacers obviously so you will have 20mm more poke but looks like a simple solution? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCD-20mm...-4x100-57-1-e30-Golf-1-2-wheels-/223553608315
if you want cool japanese style wheels you should probably go for 4x114.3 thats what all the cool jdm wheels came as like the longchamps, watanabes, etc.
I Just want small Cool cheap wheels. Dont get me wrong od loooove longchamps or SSRs but i dont have that kinda money
Easiest way would be spacers from 5x120-4x100. Get a decent set, and You're golden. Plus You can always remove them and get back to 5x120 if needed.
So i found this picture and its the Look im going for thats why i want to convert it to 4 lug but the wheels on this compact are 5 lug.. i always seen this style of wheels only as 4 lugs so im wondering what these are because im very interested in them. Anyone have any ideas {}
they will be either ultra rare american fitment (120.6) , redrilled wheels or spacers decent spacers arent an issue , i've run them for 10 years on various drift cars with more use than a comp car. edit , in fact looking at the pic , those look to be modular steels painted up to look JDM ,
Rear arms and front hubs from e30. With this you have 4x100 on pact, but remember to buy a set of coilovers for e30.
