So installed a new turbosmart iw75 wastegate on my gt2871r and after testing i notice that the wastegate flap wont open fully. No matter what i try or how much pressure i put it wont open more? Any fix or do i need to buy a different wastegate?

Is the problem because the iw75 actuator can't move far enough to open the wastegate or is it because the wastegate itself is fouling on the turbo elbow.

Take the turbo elbow off and try again, if you get the full range of movement you know it's not a problem with the actuator.

Without the rod connected to the exhaust side the flap opens all the way. And the rod still dont go further out when its moving freely

When you cannot even see the valve inside....you do not know how far it is opening.

When you know your turbo you know if its open all the way by the angle of the flap
