what the fuk was going on with the tunes at D1 today?????????????????????????????????

The worst crap music ive ever heard, they even played some cowboy music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruined sitting in the stand, luckily we made our way into the pits and it saved the day. if i suffered those shit tunes anynore i would of had to kill the DJ.

I got a great vid of phil drifting while they played cowboy music. :wack:

Go on then :D I've got to see them at some point :wack:.. I was fucking awfull, it was the worst I've ever driven at Silverstone, and I'm shocked I came 4th.. I got stuck in the gravel once, and nearly buried my car in the gravel another time.. I probably told all of you my excuses so I won't bore you again :wack:

come with the photo's and vids then ;), e-mail me at philmorrison@blueyonder.co.uk if you want hosting :)

They werent all that bad. He played some nice house and even a bit of techno so I cant complain there.
Besides, how long did he play for 9-5pm? Thats an 8 hour set? I'd like to see you anthem bash for 8 hours non stop.
The only thing I will say is he still had his monitor, so that meant we couldnt hear the commentary in the pits. again. I thought his music was alright :)

So boys and girls what exactly is your ideal soundtrack for "Drifting" to?? How can the Dj cater for all ages and tastes in music, inevitably someone at some point is not going to like the style of music being played. And can I just say if you describe a type of music as being "cowboy" then how can you define what good music is anyway when you clearly dont know its catagorisation..

So what exactly is your ideal music to drift to? And why should your opinion be valid when you quote "cowboy" to describe a style of music.

I think he meant Country and Western LOL:D

Its never gonna be easy to please anyone... Take a Walkman.

On a slightly better note, at the briefing I asked if it would be possible if the DJ was cut whilst the competition runs were going on, so those of us that are in the pit lane or driving can hear the comments on playback, rather than Rick Astley bleating on "Never Gonna Give You Up!" PMSL :D:D:D

Err, afaik they put it in place this round - at least they turned it right down anyway while the runs were going on for the competition when I was sat in the stand watching the Pros and Nick ;)

I take it by the 'hurt' tone in your text ;) that you are infact the D.J.?? I only heard one or to tunes, but the ones I did hear were cool, HIA always gets a  from me

sounded fine from where i was

but anything over the tannoy ruins the soundtrack of a video. don't matter if it's the commentator, the dj or the tunes. last time i had to graft the sound of a skidding bmw over the drive past of a ea86. no one seeme dto notice though.

my next compilation will use a mix of ghanstar wap and val doonican, maybe finishing off with terry wogan and the floral dance. (Mr Carters favorite)
