Recently I just got a 2nd hand near good as new manifold with turbo attached for my S12 as mine has a hole and the turbo is blowing. I'm a bit skeptical about it's power as I searched the net and I came across AIRESEARCH M10 ( Garrett T3 ) now upon checking it again I find people referring it to a T2. I know my s12 runs on the stock Garrett T2 setup but if anyone knows what the M10 is I'd be great full, since I'm not looking for an inter cooler setup just yet, just want my car back to running normal on the standard parts. Manifold and turbo is off a 1987 Nissan S12 Silvia ZX Turbo.
Ignore the date and time, it's my lame digital camera but that's what it looks like straight out of the packaging when it arrived yesterday.
What do you expect, it's an old car, 135bhp was fast in the mid 80's lmao Tempted to get a inter-cooler and other bits and bobs that are needed then crank the boost up to 10-12psi on the stock turbo. Read on the ZXOC with a setup like that you can push over 200-220bhp, remember it is a single cam after all. Any who cheers for letting us know what the AiRESEARCH M10 is, much appreciated.
Be suprised to see you break 200bhp on a standard turbo. You'll get close to it though. I managed 245bhp with a T3 turbo.
They give you pointers on how to upgrade the s12, going from changing the timing of the engine, spark plugs, fuel pump and injectors, adding a manual boost controller, induction kit, inter-cooler, back-box and turbo-back exhaust system and a few other etc, bits and bobs to reach over 200bhp whilst still using the stock turbo, not advisable to run it past 12psi as it will just burn it out quickly. I'll find out when I get to that point with my car...should be fun.
I'm 6ft 2 so I do have slightly large hands but nae that big, not exactly a perfect fit for a s12 interior. Besides, why are we talking about my hands.....
