Been an age since I’ve updated this, every time I’ve sat down to do it something has come up so here goes for anyone following

The car came back from millermods with the full bdc spec cage and sunroof delete. What an amazing job Alan’s done adding little bits here and there just to make it slightly different from the rest

    95256C61-DB6B-4A96-A1FD-882FD0104DC7.

    288AD178-27F3-4ACB-BEDC-FFE4ADD7F3F6.

    C90DB42A-BA49-4B33-AE70-6A95CF5AF5D5.

Once the car was back in my hands I got the brakes plumbed up into the new copper lines and HEL braided flexy lines. The calipers were also given a good clean and paint. I’ve still to order discs and pads which I’ll do closer to the time it’s going on the road

    C62527A5-00AA-40D7-9F1A-24C149004375.

When the car was away getting the cage down I ordered pretty much everything need to finish the car. The best part being the BN Sports kit

    D04C7A5F-22AD-41EE-80F5-3EB945A0992E.

    97678A05-6CAF-4F3B-B7BB-C3BAD02E1CCB.

We tried the kit on to try and drive some enthusiasm into the project. While doing this I couldn’t get the rear wheels anywhere near 0 degrees camber with the adjustable bottom arms so we reverted back to the stock arms with fresh bushes and ball joints.

    D6F22E3E-5D27-49B3-A415-78728750E733.

    22425205-15F8-4C9B-8AAF-CA5FC5415DC3.

The alloys were just used to get some reference sizes, still to decide what wheels I’m going to go for. Probably going to end up having to run rear over fenders also to give the clearance to run decent sized/spec’d wheels

The kit was taken off to keep it safe while the engine was fitted. The engine was built up with a new water pump timing belt kit including a HKS fine tune belt, cometic inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets, nismo engine and gearbox mounts, “stage 4” paddle clutch. lightened flywheel. New gaskets were used where required and the front and rear crankshaft oil lip seals were also changed.

    BE7961A7-00B7-413B-A048-75DE6F8883D1.

After getting a shot of an engine crane from my good friend Shand we mananged to get the engine and box fitted abs one piece and mounted up

    58A3080A-0013-4DA6-AB3D-AF3F18D52357.

The radiator and intercooler were then mocked up and brackets made

    E0DB5865-E45F-48C4-8853-7BA6D58C02E4.

The exhaust manifold was heatwrapped and the turbo mocked up so check clearance and pipe work

    4C4BF7F1-A13D-40D2-A455-0BF27C2F4156.

    A6D3D876-B3D6-4ED6-9D59-E3768B209066.

This pretty much brings this up to where we’re at now. Been at pretty much a stand still for the last month while we try to figure out how to marry up the 25 engine loom to the R32 body plugs.

    55401E61-294F-4638-B555-B191CCF96DDC.

Once the wiring is complete its pretty much the home straight from there; exhaust, custom intercooler pipe work, mapping and paint should see it almost complete

Here’s a couple of photos from a recent drift day in my daily driven R32

    31CC2470-C8D4-45F0-9071-D2B7349179D4.

    BF114987-D2F0-4412-87D7-72CE314ADACB.

If anyone has any knowledge or advice on marrying these looks up it would be greatly appreciated. I’ll try and keep ontop of updating this now I’ve caught up

    hey dude, nice update,

The best/easiest way to get the rb25 to work in a 32 is to swap the injector plugs on the 20 to loom 25 plugs and while you're there swap the wires for injectors 4 and 6.

final thing to do it wire in the VVT. cant remember which pin on the ecu it is but a quick google search should help (not needed to make it run)

looking forward to seeing this finished

Thanks for the info dude but does that not only apply for swapping in a Series 1/2 RB25 from an R33? With this being the Neo engine from the R34 I didn’t think it was as simple as that?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. Neo engine uses the spec 2 loom I think, I may be wrong

Nothing to really update at the moment unfortunately. Still working our way through the mess of wiring. I now have the fuel and oil systems completely finished so the main focus is the wiring.

Desperately looking to buy a fibreglass or carbon bonnet for this if anyone has one for sale though??

Would anyone be interested in buying this as a rolling shell with just the engine loom to complete?
