£4k-5k toyota altezza rs200 overpriced or fair price?

    i've decided to buy a rs200
    but i wanna know whether is it a fair price or overpriced?(£4k-5k or around 550k YEN)
    we went to check it and it is in good shape
    I live in Japan btw

    how would we know whats the right price for a car on the otherside of the world? we know nothing about the going rate etc

    I really like altezzas but I wouldn't pay 5k for one unless it was turbo'd or tuned as they're fun but not 5k fun.

    2.5-3k in the UK now for a nice stock example

    £4-5k is a little steep if you go on what they are listed for on sites in Japan.. However, it's all dependent on the spec.. Say it's a Tom's 280 turbo, then £4-5k is a good price.. If its a bog standard average car then it's probilly to much.
    Dont forget that due to currency exchange rates being what they are, it's more expensive for us to buy cars from Japan nowadays.. Hence why there is not as many fresh imports are on the market.

    if you live in japan, the options must be huge, surely you have much more choice of better drifters for much less cash than that??? and also, the going rate over here surely is irrelevant cus the prices are completely different..?
