pretty average on price to be honest mate. Fair enough ask what you want for it but dont put "very cheap" in the title cos it may be a little misleading!

Have a guess... "Wheels rubbed on full lock" :wack: Always fancied one of these but being the tight ass I am when it comes to buying cars I'd only wanna pay £1500 or something for one.

A new MOT might help the sale mate, for the sake of £50 it might be better

    Mot!

I agree and if i didn't have another car to tax and MOT i would.

    Money is too tight

If it fails to sell as it is, i will be taking the block and turbos out as there sweet, and selling it as rolling shell.

    Many thanks

mate you will be lucky if the engine last much longer! as then tend to start to need a rebuild when the compression is below mid six's, and it will be very hard (as some one has said) to sell it for that price without a m.o.t! you will probs make your money by splitting it TBH! and if you do.. how much for the rolling shell?

    Engine!

I have been informed by Tim and Matt at RXMotors that this block running nearly equal in each chamber and nearly all running 100psi is a good block.

I have seen Rx7's with a fresh rebuild running 8.4bar per chamber that is 122 psi

I don't think 22psi is a great deal to lose over 4 years nearly 5!

Engine pulls lovely and very strong

But as i said if i do break it i will just auction off the shell on ebay so i will keep you posted chap

    Value!

Your looking for a compression value per chamber of around 7kg/cm2

    7kg/cm2 = 99.6 psi/6.86 bar

If the values are different by more than 1kg/cm2 then it may need a rebuild

    6kg/cm2 = 85.3 psi/5.88 bar

None of the chambers on this engine are anywhere near this!

    Thank you

    Cheap!

Link to the cheapest rx7 on piston heads.

NO Compression test results or proof

    Mazda : Reduced Cheap RX7

Actually hard to find an rx7 that has had a proper mazda compression test anywhere

None on piston heads have a picture posted of a compression print out and are going for as much as £14,000 :smash:

    Triple rotor though :wack: awesome

Get a grip folks, Free Bump mate,

This is indeed a cheap FD, £3200 !!! How can people say thats not cheap ?

It looks very tidy too, also good compression results.

For other peoples info they can actually run quite happily as low as 4's its the balance between each chamber thats the issue in rotarys i.e if you had results of 4.6, 7.2, 5.4 then theres a problem!!!

What your looking for is all 3 to be close if not the same as each other.

People pee me right off when it comes to rotarys, they always bring up the old ahhhhh 60k needs a rebuild soon mate..

Load of crap!!! some have been known to go as far as 120,000 before needing touched!! Its like any car, if its been looked after then it will run great just like a piston engine!

    Rant over!!

Nice car mate! Makes me miss mine anytime I see one for sale
