Listing this for a friend, if you have any questions just give me a PM. Ma61 Celica Supra with a 7mgte 3.0L 24v turbo engine from the later supra, on a 5 speed manual box. I picked this up as an unfinished project needing a few bits which I've managed to sort, but ran out of time to finish it off, and its been sitting there with MOT for the last 6 months waiting for some attention. Bodywork is sound and clean with no rot (including underneath) few minor dents, mainly on the rear quarter where I unfortunately completely forgot there was a spare turbo and manifold in the boot once I finally got it MOT'd = about 6 months remaining now (December) but no tax. I modified a high flow turbo elbow and 3" bore mandrel bent downpipe for the mk3 supra engine to clear the mk2s steering rack linkage with 3" stainless bends. That goes into a custom made a straight through 3" bore stainless system again with mandrel bends, with a few extra mounts to keep it solid. Sounds lovely, won't fall off, and will last forever. Interior has survived so far, its all there and in good nick, not pristine, but not ripped. Comes with brand new 4-5x114.3 adapters fitted that haven't even turned a wheel yet. Wheels are Manaray 2piece split rims in18x8.5+9.5 et45 (20 with the 25mm adapters) fronts are part worn 225 40 18s, not cheapies, rears are 235 40 dunlop which are literally brand new and haven't driven a meter. Front stance is lovely, rear needs a further 25mm spacing really. Arches are very large and can fit wide wheels with a low offset. Brakes have been converted to skyline 4 pots front with good life, rears are ap racing 4 pots with good life. Stops very sharp, but ideally needs more bias to the front for spirited driving. Springs look stock, shocks look uprated (can only see rear) Needs a decent setup really. I picked up a brand new pair of koni adjustable front shock absorbers, idea being to take the front struts off, and convert them to coilover setup with a rallye deisgn kir or similar. Rears will need some decent shock and springs. For reference whats on there is fine, drives, works and went through the MOT, just to complete the package. Comes with a new set of all 4 steering arms to be fitted (old ones went through mot) It has near enough a full set of superflex polybushes, iirc only missing the rear subframe bushes. Has an LSD as stock previous owner said it had extra plates welded to it for more lock, felt a bit notchy on the short drive I had. Engine I don't have any history on. I got the car MOT'd, the clutch release bearing was always noisey, I did a few miles, and the clutch started to slip. In those few miles the car was bloody quick! It has alloy underdrive pullies on there, needs an air filter fitting, doesnt knock, bang, rattle or smoke. The tyres on the old wheels were pretty shabby, so I spent an age trying to find some nice wide 4x114.3 wheels, which didn't happen, it took months to find the wheel/tyre/adapter combination above. Since sitting it seems the ignition switch has developed a fault, as the car will start fire and run for a few seconds, but as soon as the key is let off it cuts out. Due to that and the clutch it would need to be trailored. Sorted it would be one giant killer - 300hp/1200kgs. Or it would make a different track or drift car. Located in Surrey £1800 Needs a clean I know. Compos aren't included, they were just for sizing, comes on the 18" lower in the pics. Will see if I can sort some updated pictures to do it some justice. Any questions, just give me a shout.
dude, interested in selling me the rear gold 18"s if i give you some cash and a pair of the same ones as the front ones ???
Man, i'd so buy this if it was drive home-able. Do you know if the previous tourqued up the headgasket and stuck an uprated fuel pump in there? I take it it's got the standard celica supra w57 box in there due to the clutch slip. I may be wrong, and if it is a R154 box i'd be much more interested. Could you have a look and varify. Lastly, Whats the milage on the car, and how much would you want without those 18" manarays and the conversion spacers?
Well if you came and put in another ignition switch, or even just one of those push starter types it should drive home if your light with the throttle. It still drove when I parked it up, just the clutch slips when it gets on boost. I didn't build the car, nor did the previous owner, and I'm abroad so I cant check out what gearbox is in there, same for the mileage, same for the HG. Apologies, but I bought it as a nearly finished project and just concentrated on getting it MOT'd and on the road, then the clutch started to go, I laid it up, had to finish a few other cars before I left and then ran out of time. Issue with the conversion spacers was I had to trim the original wheel studs down so unless they are replaced its stuck with 5 studs. I would do a deal without the wheels if you can bring some 5x114.3 wheels and tyres. Anyone who can't blag a lift from the AA home could have a look on shiply.co.uk Ive had a few cars delivered from there very cheap. Usually just under a £1 a mile but you only pay for one way.
Are there any interior pics and is it in horley like urself I keep looking at this thread very tempted
Will see if I can get a mate to give it a clean and get some better pictures for me. Car is about 15/20 minutes away from Horley.
