I am looking to sell my Starion, it is a near finished project, unfortunatly I have run out of time and need to go back to uni, this means buying a sensible car!
I bought the car with the intention of restoring and then keeping as a weekend classic. As we all know these projects never go as planned and now the car has had all of the hard work done ready for drift/Track/Road use.
    Engine:
    Full Rebuild
Re-Bore to suit 1st stage oversize
    Skimmed head (light)
    Eagle H Beam Rods
Ross Racing Pistons + New rings
    Clevite 77 Big end bearings
    Clevite 77 Main bearings
    All gaskets replaced
All Belts Replaced (mostly with Goodyear Gator Back)
    Tensioner replaced
    New battery, with warranty
    Waterpump replaced (OEM)
Radiator fully refurbished with custom core
Intercooler piping increased to 2" and routing improved
    Various Silicone joiners
    Pipercross cone filter (Huge)
Turbo inlet housing rotated to allow piping route.
2 Intercoolers supplied (small weld needed)
    Currently straight pipe bypasses I/C
MEGASQUIRT ECU (unbuilt) Supplied and ready for fitment
14point7.com WIDEBAND LAMBDA KIT (built) ready for fitment
HKS Turbo Timer Fitted (not wired)
Rocker Cover + Inlet manifold Powdercoated orange.
Engine has done approx 10 miles since rebuild so is in break in period (on 3rd oil)
Twin exit exhaust, no cats, just mid and end silencer.
    Other:
    Steering box proffesionally overhauled
    Superflex front ARB bushes
    Superflex Rear ARB bushes
    Superflex front droplink bushes
    Superflex rear droplink bushes
    Superflex tiebar bushes
    Superflex Wishbone bushes front.
    AeroCatch Bonnet pins
    Flocked dial surround
    Flocked Centrepiece
    Flocked Glovebox
    Replaced rear brake pads
    Alpine head unit fitted
    HID headlight bulb (real HIDS)
    Rear light gaskets replaced
All wheels refurbished and powder coated
Front tyres - 225 Bridgestone Potenzas, 5mm tread
Rear Tyres - 245 Toyo Proxes
Real carbon fibe sheet interior trim (Centre console)

All the hard work has been done, I am confident the car will pass M.O.T as is. Minimal work is needed to do the finishing touches on the car.
I can't afford to M.O.T or tax the car so have only been able to drive it up and down my street. There is a small amount of smoke out the exhaust on start up but it is I believe due to the forgies, as it clears completely within 30 seconds. No smoke at all while driving. I haven't tested the handling but it handled well before and is now polybushed. Some of the brackets holding reservoirs and bonnet pins look a bit untidy and could do with being painted. The car had a respray by last owner which looked fantastic until it produced microblisters all over, it's not noticable until your up close but it is on all panels. Aside from this the bodywork is excellent, one tiny dink on NSF wing (can be seen in top pic). small bits of rust on bonnet, none elsewhere, underside is all good. Front numberplate needs securing.
This car needs a weekends work and an M.O.T and has lots of potential, with a modern turbo and later spec inlet manifold this spec engine can make 300.
Please note this car has is untaxed/no m.o.t so cant be driven away. It runs well (i have taken it up and down the road) And have followed an engine break in process (engine hasn't been above 2.5k yet!)
I need £2,400 for the car as is, unfortunately my situation means I can't finish the car and make the money it's worth.

    To finish off 100%:

1 Polybush to be fitted (siezed bolt, should be free now)

If you want the megasquirt ecu it needs to be assembled and fitted (with lambda kit)

Power steering box is seeping from the adjustor bolt and is causing odd problems. This i am going to contact the company that rebuilt it so will hopefully be sorted this week.

Interior needs tidying (carpets need tucking back under trim etc.)

1 of the bonnet pin brackets needs moving to line up with the aerocatch.

When I started it yesterday the wipers and headlights didnt come on. they did 10 days ago so I'm assuming its a fuse.
Thats everything I can think of, aside from this the engine needs breaking in and the engine bay needs a good clean. Just wish I had the time to do it myelf.

awesome car it's a shame you have to sell it. I had a 2.6 for a few years and I loved it, a real fun car. I would love to take it but have a project on at the moment.
very reasonable price given the work gone into it.
    good luck with the sale

If only I had the money.

Seems like a hell of a good price for such a cool car with a lot of work done to it!

    Shouldn't hang around for long.
