    '88 Mitsubishi Starion 2.0 Turbo--Forged Engine, £2350

I bought this car in late 2008 as a project before Uni. Car is based in Guildford in Surrey. Any questions/viewing welcome. Reason for sale is that I am returning to Uni so am unable to keep car. Please note that the car has no MOT. It went in recently and failed on:

2 small areas of localised rust (see pics below)
    Headlights needing Adjustment (RECTIFIED)
Exhaust mounting not in use (RECTIFIED)
    Handbrake Ineffective (suspected Calliper)
Very little work needed here, unfortunately I have nowhere to keep/work on the car any more. Please have a look at the spec and see all the work that has gone into this car. The car will need to be towed/trailered away as it has no MOT.

I am looking for offers in the region of £2350 for a fast sale.

    Specification:

    Engine:

    VIDEO: Startup and Idle:
    [ame=http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v382/fez_steve/?action=view&current=P1020397-1.flv][IMG][/ame]

    Full Rebuild
Re-Bore to suit 1st stage oversize
    Skimmed head (light)
    Eagle H Beam Rods
Ross Racing Pistons + New rings
    Clevite 77 Big end bearings
    Clevite 77 Main bearings
    All gaskets replaced
All Belts Replaced (mostly with Goodyear Gator Back)
    Tensioner replaced
    New battery, with warranty
    Waterpump replaced (OEM)
Radiator fully refurbished with custom core
Intercooler piping increased to 2" and routing improved
    Various Silicone joiners
    Pipercross cone filter houses AFM
Turbo inlet housing rotated to allow piping route.
HKS Turbo Timer Fitted (not wired)
Rocker Cover + Inlet manifold Powdercoated orange.
Engine has done approx 10 miles since rebuild so is in break in period and has not been above 3000 rpm.
Twin exit exhaust, no cats, just mid and end silencer.

Engine starts and runs well, I cannot comment on performance as it is still in break-in period but feels very strong. The car was driven to MOT station and drove very well. Sump surfaces need cleaning as it is seeping on rear corner.

    Steering/Suspension:

    Steering box proffesionally overhauled
    Superflex front ARB bushes
    Superflex Rear ARB bushes
    Superflex front droplink bushes
    Superflex rear droplink bushes
    Superflex tiebar bushes
    Superflex Wishbone bushes front.

    Other:

    AeroCatch Bonnet pins
    Flocked dial surround
    Flocked Centrepiece
    Flocked Glovebox
    Replaced rear brake pads
    Alpine head unit fitted
    Rear light gaskets replaced
All wheels refurbished and powder coated
Front tyres - 225 Bridgestone Potenzas,
Rear Tyres - 245 Toyo Proxes
Real carbon fibe sheet interior trim (Centre console)

    Interior:

The interior is full leather, in good condition as can be seen in photos. There has been a repair made to the drivers seat bolster (photo) and there are a couple of minor marks here and there nothing that wouldn't clean up. I am not including the gear knob in the picture but will replace with the original Starion one. All of the buttons and levers seem to work although the cruise control is untested.

    Bodywork:

The car had a full respray before I bought it, in its original red colour. Unfortunately the paint has produced micro-blisters over several panels, although you cannot see them unless very close. You can feel them. Otherwise there are a few minor bubbles on the front lip of the bonnet and on the side skirts. It has a few small marks/scratches (very smal dent on wing, and scratch on Pas door).

    Chassis:

    Generally good condition, Undersealed.
Linked are pictures of the underside (Left + Right) as well as the 2 rust holes that failed the car on M.O.T.

Thank you for the comments guys! Much Appreciated

Insurance is ok - around the 700 mark for me (21). If your 24+ then you will insure it for peanuts on a classics policy

Perfect drift project for someone who can weld. Car is yet to be viewed, just one person after another not showing up after I take more time off work!
