A little bit about the car.

I bought the car back in jan 08 from wadebridge in kernow. It had a duff turbo and a gash jap can but only cost me £500. I drove it for a short while with duff turbo until I found a replacement turbo. The engine lasted 200 miles witht the new turbo and then lost compression. I decided I had already had enough of the ca18 and choose to put in an rb25det.

I got told to ring paul at jdm garage for the bits I needed and they also did the wiring for me, also the reason that I started to get really interested in drifting. Fast forward 12 months and I have just got it too a spec that Iam happy to take on practice days. I know that seat time is more important than the car and also that I don't need all the bits to have fun, but I wanted something I can use properly without worrying that it won't get me home at the end of the day.

    some more pics.

    safety.

    ride.

    ridefit.

    fitment.

    Got a problem here.
    close.
The bottom arms are wound in as much as possible but i still have too much camber. When we wind off camber today (if the guy answers his phone :() there won't be any clearance. so my options are. 1. more stretch 2. more ride height 3. remove the 25mm spacer and machine it down at work to get the desired fitment 4. remove the 25mm spacer and widthen my track by 20mm ish

Also sorted my exhaust and wrapped it with some exhaust wrap that i had lying about. no pics of the modsor the welds iam afraid. i forgot to take any :annoyed:

    heatwrap.

    heatwarp.

Much better ground clearance now :)

Hopefully i will be able to update later with good news that the alignments sorted.

Crossmember jig i made, its pretty basic but i took loads of measurments and used a couple datum points to ensure it stayed square.

    rackmod3.

I had no probs refitting it and there was even enough adjustment in the column to take up the extra slack.

On the rollers @ Allan jeffers

    ajrrsxoc.

    290.5 bhp @ 0.8bar on stock map

    bay.

    bay2.

    bay3.

    bay4.

Engine bay is starting to get there now, needs more wiring, plumbing, resevoir, brake line and relay/fuse box tuck.

Heres a head drain that iam making for when the engine/engine bay comes out for overhaul

Some pics of me struggling with 55mm rad and viscous fan. I wanted the viscous because most peeps i know with this conversion have major cooling issues. Pics courtesy of Mark from JDM Garage

Some pics of how my handbrakes are fitted. Ignore the bird poo welding, its hard to do good welding, whilst holding the carpet back and being on fire watch, squinty eyes for protection. lol.

    2.

    3-2.

    4-1.

    6-1.

    7-1.

    GetAttachment-7.

Need to get a bucket seat fitted before llandow, i did without last time and it was fairly anoying. I only have a pair of monacos spare so i will have to wedge a ginsters down either side to make them the right size for me.
