...when i was 15 i did work experience at a BMW dealership and had a ride in a then new e38 740i, to me that car was EVRYTHING a car should be, and i promised myself one day id have one....

...fast forward 11 years and im building my dream car, a e38 740 manual. not 100 % for drifting, but it will be on coilovers and have a welded diff  i have the car (e38), a 5 speed manual box and an engine (4.4L s1 m62)

just need a few more weeks of pay to pay / justify buying the lightened flywheel and the clutch and prop.

    DSC00430.

Arrrr lush stuff! & series are for winners! Prefer the E32's myself but E38's are definately a car not to be knocked! Sounds like a very good project indeed :D

Pretty sure E38s have the standard centre bore. I may have some 17x8.5 et13 / 17x10 et20 Borbet A's up for sale soon - they'd look hawt on this!

£2000ono if you read further down!

Enjoy the new car! No engine transplant any more then, just sticking with the BMW! Sounds like it'll be great!

This is an excellent idea. Im not sure I see the point in a mig diff for a road car / occasional skidder. There has to be some 2nd hand lsd's floating around for these.
