OK so it’s not exactly a drift car, but it could be :D

I’ve used the car loads with my house move and it’s great for moving all the drifty parts around but I’m just about to get my fifth car and something’s got to go.

It’s a 1997 BMW 328i Touring which means it’s a six cylinder, 2.8 litre, rear wheel drive estate. It’s done 141,000 miles but to be honest it doesn’t feel like it, I’ve never had any problems with it and to be honest I’d keep it if I could.

    Here’s the details:
3 owners from new (including me)
    Black with black leather interior
    Mot till April ‘08
Taxed till the end of September ‘07
    Service history
    2.8 litre 6 cylinder petrol
    5 Door Estate
    P reg (1997)
    Manual
Stability control with Traction (No LSD :( )
Factory alarm with remote central locking
    Alloy wheels
    Power steering
    ABS
    4 x electric windows
    Electric mirrors
    Duel zone climate control
    Trip computer
    Load cover and net
    Drivers airbag
Minidisk head unit with ten-disk multi-changer in boot

It had a full service just after I had it with oil change (engine and gearbox), sparkplugs, all filters etc, it also had a new crank sensor, front ball joint and both rear shock absorbers replaced at the same time.

I had a new clutch and two new rear Avon tires fitted just after Christmas.

For the MOT it had two new front Avon tires, two front lower arm bushes and both Lambda sensors replaced as the emissions were out.

Everything works, all the windows, the climate control and everything on the trip computer, never had a problem with the electrics.

    The bad points are:
There’s some rust in a few places, nothing major, the driver’s door seems the worse.
The air con doesn’t seem to be quite as good as it should, it’s ok until it gets really hot then it doesn’t seem to cope too well.
There’s a slight water leak somewhere, again nothing major, the computer says when the water level gets low and I’ve only had to top it up twice in the 10 months I’ve had it.

I’m looking for as close to £3000 as I can get, Whatcar values it as £3195 http://www.whatcar.co.uk/valuation-summary.aspx?MA=7&MV=23857&ED=22658&UP=1682642&ML=141000

I'd love an E36 tourer, but they seem to command a premium over the other E36's :(

Nice car, and a good price, just more than I can afford

And it can easily be a tourer

Seeing as nobody else has offered does that mean I'd get it no matter how much I offered? :)

ps - bump because I want one.

Got any phots of the rusty bits mate? shame you're not a bit closer to East Sussex as I'm car-less at the moment and could do with something for work.

I’ll take some pictures on the weekend

Quite a bit, the service books all stamped up (not main dealer though) and I’ve got a pile of receipts for it.
