Yeh that Ebisu video is the most enjoyable drift video i've seen in a long time. Minimal arty stuff but some tasteful shots, and lots and lots of bullshittingly insane driving also with a soundtrack that doesnt feature prodigy or pendulum
first vid - did anyone else watch it long enough to see the fly? xD all awesome vids and also, i agree, loving the ebisu video tons <3 <3
my girlfriend had some somewhere, generally we drifted the spot you see in daylight, only coming in a LOT faster, the idea is to touch the kerbs as you come up the street and then touch the concrete block/rail end the guy is filming from. It looks crap on that video tbh.
Mitto, why did you go to Japan? Just to experience what its like first hand?? Also, i've wondered how common is it to actually see drifters out and about?? I got this crazy image in my head of every 10th car being a million horsepower sbody and im sure it cant really be like that...
you will hardly see any drift cars unless you go to the right place, well at least in the cities. You will see a stack of "VIP" cars rolling about, like crowns on 20" 50pce urainium wheels. that drift spots in that video are about 30 minutes out fo the city centre, although if you go there in the daytime it will take you 1.5 - 2 hours The spot under the bridge is right next to a place called taihei tyre (you might have seen it in my videos) What you will notice when you drifting at the "show off" spots like the docks, is the huge number of posers and "im a gangster" brazillians, that generally suck, get in the way and or crash. Some of them are obviously good though, one guy called bruno (just like our bruno!) from team inguants (ignorant) is holy shit amazing and drives a beat ass AE86. I went to live the life and tbh, id still be there, but i was going mental waiting to get my car back from kawabata of driving sports - the slowest mechanic on the planet so i came back to just get driving and have access to all the shit i need to build cool cars. i love japan, i miss it, but it also made me realise how good we have it here
