Firstly I would like to say hello!!

I am Wojciech I come from western Poland.
I am a sympathizer of the skid.

Today, during my return from work, my babybenz began to make strange noises from the engine, I'm pissed off again.
I think the time has come to do something with my outdated m102.
I love this body and I would rather not change it.
I can not afford a turbo kit, so I would like to put on something stronger.
I need help from someone with more knowledge and experience
Please help in choosing a cheap swap.

    Regards, forum members.

    Hi buddy,
    i assume your car is a 2.0ltr inline 4?

the easiest and cheapest swap would be the m111, if you can get the 2.3 kompressor in poland, it should even bolt into your original gearbox.

if you wanted something a bit crazier, the M104 will fit with slight modifaction to the slam panel. there are people running M104 turbos at 600+bhp on standard internals.

theres also the OM605 and OM606 deisel options which apparently can make similiar power with a mechanical fuel pump and a massive turbo but ive not looked into them too much.

Hi there, my one is 2.3 8v 100 kw, anyway, it's not enough to slide on dry, I'll burn the clutch faster.

The option with the m111 engine seems the most sensible, did u make or u know someone who make this swap?
My gearbox is also suitable for replacement, the 2nd gear synchronizer is probably floating in the gearbox.

I find BMW m52b28 swap into w201, also heared something about Saab turbo engines.

i know people who have done the m111 swap. but i have not done it personally.
it is apparently very easy if you have a donor car.
swapping the m52 in will require more work than the m104 so you might as well go for a 3.2ltr m104 tbh.
