No worries. Maybe not Tom, i've moved out of York so the car is at home, it'll be a while till she see the open road.. Price... mmmm Well it did come with a few spares including a couple of lsd's, lights, new set of disc's/pads, and a few outher goodies... But the shell needs quite a bit of work at the back end, i'm going to sand blast the shell so the job is done right. A little bit more than you paid for yours Betty but not much
Cool, nice work mate! Be good to see it brought back to life! I take it thats not the original colour!? What colour is it under the bonnet/carpets etc dude??
Its that lovely gold underneath, they never did under the bonnet and its peeling above the doors on the shell. Don't know what colour she'll end up...
Sweet man, i kinda like the yellow - its different I wonder how many undiscovered 86s and KE70s are left lurking places like old peoples garages?
Yeah man, best colour they did Respray it the original colour and make it abit of a street sleeper effect! So long as it dont go white! Common and boring imo
Awe no!..mines white?..i know what your sayin but im not payin 2000euro for proper spray up yet im goin white, carbon, blue decals "BASEICALY"..
What is with all the offense on this site isnt it a chat room (forum) for drift fanatics all interested in cars obviosly..this is reminding me of how football fans(majority) go on... sorry for interupting this thread no offense to anyone.
you clearly want to talk about your car. fine, start a thread about your car. we are talking about sweeps car on this one.
She hadn't run for four years, guy took the plugs out and ran the engine over to get the oil pressure up. I went round the next day with a gerry can, started the first turn of the key, no rattles, no smoke no drama Clutch slave cylinder ate the piston so i couldn't drive her
good shit, so i guess stripped out as it is caged? get some more snaps so we can carry on being nosey buggers!
Dude, seriously, was i talking about painting your car!?!?! Make your on thread, but as you dont own yours yet it wont be much of a thread will it!? Sweeps man, enjoy the life of the 4AGE! Starts first time everytime no matter what! haha
No she's all still there, it was part of the regs for the road rallying that the interior was all there... Lovely two tone brown.. Get some more pics when i get chance. I intend to, its been a long time coming so i'm gona enjoy, a car i can get my teeth into...
Good boy pike! haha The only issue you could have with the engine as its been sat so long is a headgasket pop and corroded head/block around no.4, and if its been unloved the bottom end could eventually rattle once youve given her some revs! But thats all simple stuff and no biggie!
I know its been a while but with a new house time is limited.. But, while the other half went visiting friends, "Of cause i'll be on with the house darling" I took the chance to get a few snaps... Totally standard... {} Boot floor {} {} The damage was done when she started, think it twas a bit rotten.. {} {} RAC stickers. Where were you in the nineties lol {} {} {} It looks worse than it is.. {} Nothing a good sand blast won't cure. {} This lot came with the car. Full set of disc's and pads, spots with brackets, rear shocks, couple of diff,s, that a point, i take it 4.3 is the standard ratio? There are another three wheels to match the one shown. {} These any good? {} {} Any one out there got a manual on pdf file i could have ?
haha, fucking hell, did someone dunk the bottom half of the car in salt water before they let it stand! Bare shell time Shot blast the whole shell, shot blast and powder coat all mechanicals that your gonna keep on the car! I predict £10k and 2 years! See you later dude! lol BTW, those shockers are a std uprated replacement, which is all you would of needed for road rally's etc! And yes, 4.3 is a std 86 diff ratio!
