Never had my S14 in for MOT until now, and should have realised but hte Apex de-cat has meant cr*p emmisions. Does anyone know the quickest (and cheapest) way to fix this so it will pass the MOT? Thanks
Get yourself down to a scrapy and see if there's anything that'll suit. Or make "special" friends with the tester Either that or see if they'll let it go with the decat still in, might get lucky?
thanks for that. He is a 'special' friend and tried all he could to squeeze it through, but said there was no way...
where abouts are you mate? you could try the 'it has a pre 94 engine fitted and thus cannot be cat tested. but they may ask for proof
thats what i love about the 1990 sbody passes with a decat runnin an sr20det mite sound daft but do you know anyone with an s14? swap exhaust for an hour ?
Ask on here and the sxoc if anyone has a cat for sale. It's only a ten min job to swap over and it'll sort all your problems
Thanks for all your help! Turns out a mate of mine has an S14.5 sat in the garage as his second car ! (kept that one quiet) Going to have an exhaust swap for a week
theree used to be a cat for mot's you could borrow in sxoc you would be better off finding a friendly mot tester and get the emmisions from a hybrid
