i use to drift my auto soarer a bit but it wasnt ideal. Not sure about the s14 box but you can usually hold it in gear.

I bought an auto supra with manual mode a couple weeks ago and im going to see how that goes.

Handbrake entries should be banned, so gay. Auto's DO drift, fact full stop. Even Full weight LS400's on silly 19" rotas. Seen it done. Someone IIRC either got their license or qualified for a bcd round in an Auto box'ed car so definitely do able!!!

my s14a was an auto. it drifted just fine upto about 40mph holding it in 1st gear. 2nd would do right up to 80 ish.
you are right in thinking it holds itself in 1 and 2 if selceted, all the way to the rev limiter without shifting.

Don't use Race mode on an auto though, once you put it into R cars slam into the back of you for some reason :S

They drift fine in 1st or 2nd, learn a lot about weight transfer and how to be smooth.

I did my first BDC season in an auto.
