Evening all Popped along to Lydden Hill for a local club meet and my mate phoned me half way through the day saying theres a BDC car in the paddock, we are going to see some drifting at lunch. I presume it was some sort of organised HM Forces track event judging by the RAF Reserve and Royal Navy stickers on some of the cars in the pics
Judging by things I have seen for sale recently. I am guessing the 14 rims have cut slicks on them...
Its a lot cheaper to get Motorsport tyres for the stock s14 wheels and even those will give a shit load more grip than even good tyres on wide wheels. But given the fact its been beaten by an old 406 I'm guessing the wheels had stock tyres on too.
Geldy lost some of his wheels off the trailer on the way down from Scotland and put out a last minute request on Facebook. He was looking for 18" because thats what tyres he had. These wheels and shit tyres must have been the best he was able to get at no notice. I think it's awesome that he's doing some racing.
Same here. I'd love to build a car that could capably compete in the BDC and Time-Attack! My personal aim for the future.
