    Ladies and gents

    As some of you have already been asking about it – here are the details of the end of season BDC Dinner Dance & Presentation Ceremony.

    As with previous years, there will be trophies for the championship leaders and various other awards presented in front of and by some of the BDC sponsors in attendance.

    This is an opportunity for everyone to get together and celebrate the best of the 2011 championship and for the drivers to thank their WAGs and team members for their support throughout the season.

    We have been able to fix the cost again this year so that it is the same as previous years.

    Booking forms will be emailed to BDC drivers and staff on the usual email list, hopefully during the next week.

    Payments should be made by cheque, Paypal, or in cash to Sweeps at Silverstone or Sunderland in September. Cheque & Paypal payment details are supplied on the booking form.

    Dress: Smart – no jeans or trainers

    3 course meal (includes coffee)
    All courses pre-ordered (choice of 3 of each)

    1. Roasted Tomato & Pepper Soup
    2. Home made Chicken Pate, Toasted Brioche & Red Onion Marmalade
    3. Fan of Seasonal Melon


    Main Course:-
    1. Roast Scottish Beef Sirloin & Yorkshire Pudding
    2. Free Range Breast of Chicken
    3. Vegetarian Lasagne


    Dessert:-
    1. Double Baked Chocolate Tart
    2. Caramel Cheesecake
    3. Wild Berry Teardrop


    PRESENTATION OF TOP DRIVERS & SPECIAL AWARD TROPHIES following the meal

    Disco until late (1am)

    Late night Bacon & Egg Rolls (served around 11pm)

    Cost: £39.00 per person


    Please note that due to its popularity and the increasing size of the championship, tickets will be issued on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Tickets will only be allocated and dispatched on receipt of payment - provision of a food order, but no payment, will not guarantee you a place.

    There will be a seating plan for tables of 8-11 people. If you have a group or team table preference, please post names of people in your groups or send a PM to Sez. Due to the size of the tables and dependant upon how many people are attending, we cannot guarantee that seating preferences will be accommodated (additional people may have to be added to a table of 8, for example, if we start to run out of space). We will, however, try our best to seat people as they wish.

    This hotel has a swimming pool and spa. If you would like a spa treatment price list (to treat your ladies or have a massage while you’re there!) please PM Sez providing an email address to send this to.

    As per last year, the BDC has negotiated a special rate with the hotel for 50 rooms for this event. For this rate you must call the venue and state that you are attending the BDC Dinner Dance on 19th November. There is free parking at the hotel.

    The BDC rate is £75.00 for a double/twin room including full English breakfast.


    Please note that at the time of booking card details are taken on a guarantee only basis – ie PAYMENT FOR YOUR ROOM WILL NOT BE TAKEN UNTIL YOU CHECK OUT OF THE HOTEL

    We have 50 rooms reserved at our preferential rate but only until 4 weeks before the event after which they will be released so it would be advisable to book early to avoid disappointment and guarantee your room. Should you change your mind later you can cancel your room without your card being charged (check with hotel when booking whether you can do this up to the day of the event).

    Please note that there could be other events at the venue on the same weekend so rooms can sell out (as they did last year) therefore booking early is advisable.

    Woo :D was lovely there last year! I think we should make it a rule that everyone must turn up in a skid car though! There was a distinct lack of drift presence in the car park! :D with the exception of that OAP's skyline ;)

    Just got off the phone to the venue. We have 33 of our 50 allocated rooms left.

    Apparently there is a wedding and a birthday at the venue the same weekend though so after our allocated rooms run out, I don't think there will be many (if any) other rooms left. The BDC rate should still apply to rooms outside of our 50 allocated.

    If you are planning on staying there - book now! You don't have to pay until you check out so it won't cost you just to book.

    Once our allocated rooms have run out I can see if I can negotiate some more to be saved for us. :)
