no i wasnt. because i have no interest in paying to do a few laps of lydden hill in a day. or doing bdc for that matter

yes the guy in the 32 had a mega boost leak, why the fuck he carried on caning the car around the track ill never know.

and yep there were plenty of others with mechanical problems fair one

if you wanted to turn up to a bdc license day in a car your saying you cant drive that had a slipping clutch, why bother?

but im talking about people rocking up to a british drift championship licensing day, (i.e a licensing day for a series that would suggest its for the best drivers in the united kingdom) and not being able to even link a corner together is just crazy. some people need a serious reality check!

i played operation once, you dont see me kicking open surgery theatre doors asking the doctor to let me have a go with his scalpel

efforts great, but i just genuinley am confused as to why people who cant master basic car control would choose paying to do a bdc license day instead of just coming to an open pit lane day and getting some good seat time

and thats without even mentioning the shit state some of the cars were in. do you really think bdc want battered looking shit heaps running in their series?
anyway, fair play to ricky getting pro, was definetly on it. so was your team mate in the other mb car.

Cheers Jack :) That was Martin driving Ross's car.

I completely agree with you though. There were people there who had taken spots away from people who potentially would of gained a license.

Bit like X factor in a way, a few mates said you was great skidding round that roundabout your parents think your amazing so you go and audition......lol

Well for one I didn't know the car had a bad clutch. 2 I only just got the car, and as I'm not a massive streeto fan how else would I find out..???

Your forgetting Drifting is all about the fun of it. if you read in the first post it clearly say's.
Or in other words anyone is welcome to come have fun.

It really annoys me when people take it to seriously when we all started out in this just for the fun of it. I didn't get a license but me and max (ae86) had a grate day taking the piss out of each other.

I blame a lot of the bad driving on the pressure, Some of the drivers there I know will piss that track on any given practise day.

why would you pay £100 for a few laps when its cheaper for an open pitlane day

i dont believe anyone went just for fun, they went to try and gain a bdc license aswell!

and as jack said my god there where some heaps going round the track!

e36 with gay stickers and halfords wing aswell as a 350z styled the same

I go to most lydden days now, I just have a different car every time I do lol I really Don't have much luck with cars the past two years. The license today would have just been a plus.

Any how What are you skidding now days?

Had a great day today, especially once the judged runs were over the session was great at the end and had a load of fun it ran pretty well considering the number of cars. Don't know why all the hatin' is going on but any seat time is still seat time.

    No idea dude...
I came off track after my 3 runs, packed the car up, fell asleep for 20 mins, then thought I should go home before I complete dose off....lol
Was up literally all night getting the car ready, was almost late because I only just finished fitting my harness at 06.00, then adjusted front toe by eye(it's spot on btw), then loaded up and got a fucking move on...lol

And I do kind of agree with the haters on this one..
Should only really have been people wanting to gain a license attending.. If you wanted a practice day, this was a monumental waste of money... I was there for one reason... Get me a license.

I wasn't there but I don't think you could just have a go at the tryers for taking up BDC places for next year I'm sure there were plenty of ppl who did it to gain licenses for just pub bragging rights who have no intention of doing BDC competitions.

I think like mark (Norfy) said have a skid licence day first there's waaaay to many have a go joes out there these days.

And for the person that said its taken way to serious it's a "licence" day it is serious did you not take your normal driving licence seriously just turn up and have ago hope you don't kill anyone on road.

If you want a fun day go to the rest of the 50 practice days held everywhere.

Well done to ppl that gained them anyways I'm sure they were deserved :-)

Im pretty sure u got a licence if you didnt its a fix up, aristo looked awesome btw, shame i didnt get time to have a chat witth you, next time i'll make time

I was there just for fun, no way can i afford to do the bdc next year, but i saw it as a strees free skid day for me at lydden with no one hassling me about this and that. I also thought we were running the whole track in the afternoon, was a bit disapointed we didnt but had a laugh chasing harry and paul down in the afternoon and smashing into the barriers with the arse end.

I also cocked up the entry while chasing harry and jumped the car over the kerb did anyone get a photo or video or it? felt like the front was pretty high of the ground
