Hi, Im just in the process of building a roll cage to bdc spec, The regs online state the tube sizes and minimum spec but what I want to know is if you can construct the basic minimum 6 point cage in the tube sizes stated, then us thinner wall seamless tube for the rest if your doing a multipoint? so basically I have done the main hoop in 1.75" 12g and the front legs, roof bar, double door bars, single diagonal,and rear stays in 1.5" 12g. Im looking to tie it all with some thin gauge if that complies 1.5" Cheers Matt
As far as I'm aware, if the basic reg requirements are met, then you can make the rest out of string if you like, as long as it doesn't affect the basic regulation requirements for a cage.
