Whats the best diff ratio for a BMW E46 Compact with a 3.0L engine? I have been told to get a 3.38 diff and currently have a welded 320td diff. Gears are very long, 1st hits 50mph and 2nd 85mph.
Dont exist the best one. Depend what youre looking for. Type of circuit, street... for me the one you suit the most is the 3.46. A then you have the most iconic 4.44 the most expensive and rare one that everyone is looking for.
I've got a 3.0l compact and I've just put the 3.23 back in from a 3.73. The 3.23 gives you more legs but you've got to work a bit harder for it if that makes sense
