Hello all would anyone know if a small case diff (3.38 ratio) would fit a 2002 BMW E46 325 compact?

Would this increase wheel speed? and will it pass an MOT with a welded diff?

One more thing doing a back box delete, should I go single exit tip or dual "shotgun" Tips? :p

    thanks in advance

Presume it's from an e36 compact? It won't fit if so.
Shorter ratio will shorten gears making it feel faster.
Keep your exhaust the world has enough terrible sounding bmw's

HI Andy its for a e46 compact 2.5 straight six, I'm just unsure if the compacts have a smaller case diff or medium etc.

I'm not to clued up on the Bmw's at the moment as its a new platform for me.

I'm keeping the hole exhaust stock its only a back box delete to get rid of dead weight and give it a better exhaust note. (Not super raspy) because my neighbours hatted me with the last cars straight pipes :wack: haha
