BMW 525d 2001 For sale is my 5 series which I have owned since January 2017 It has been used daily by myself since then, and has been faultless the entire time. It gives amazing economy for the power, averaging 50 MPG Spec: Later M57 2.5l turbo diesel 6 cylinder engine Front mount Intercooler as standard Eibach Lowering Springs (new Last year) Bilstein Shocks (new last year) ECU remap EGR valve delete BMW Z3 Short shift gear stick Full black sport interior & headlining Re-trimmed M-Sport Steering wheel Air Conditioning (works nicely) Traction Control Cruise Control Electric Mirrors Heated rear screen Front and Rear Parking Sensors Full set of 5x 17" alloys Tyres have plenty of tread MOT until 7th May 2018 201,800 miles Lots of service history and parts receipts The car drives great, and feels nice and tight and comfortable. You wouldn't think it had even half the miles it does from driving it. The ECU remap has really brought the car alive, giving it surprising performance, while keeping great economy. No clouds of soot on acceleration either. The brakes are great, and thanks to replacement discs and lower suspension arms it doesn't suffer from the shaking steering wheel thats common with big BMWs. The combination of short shift gear stick, sports seats, new suspension, lower ride height etc make it a joy to drive. It handles great, but retains all the comfort you'd expect from a 5 series. During my ownership there have been no unpleasant surprises, the car went through it's MOT last year with no issues and I'd expect the same next year. The gear changes are smooth, and the clutch has never slipped. There's no terminal rust to concern yourself with. Cosmetically the car is very presentable, with two small patches of surface rust and one carpark dink on the front bumper. I've not had to top up the coolant at all during my ownership, and the the oil consumption is very low for a turbo diesel too. There are two stone chips in the windscreen, but both have been repaired by my insurance company so will not cause any cracks in the future and are MOT compliant. The volume control on the radio is temperamental, but the volume buttons on the steering wheel work well. Recently, BMW issued a recall to replace the Drivers Airbag. This has already been done by my local dealership. The car has been very well looked after over the years, the previous owner even owned it twice it was so good. I'm only selling as I've invested in an e39 540i (on 225k miles) and ironically need the ££ for fuel. Advertised elsewhere so reserve the right to remove listing at any time.
