This was destined to be a 2011 project, sub 1000kg and 600bhp. But as always plans have changed, so we'd like this to go to a good home. It's an Ex Bel car and Brit car, built by Matter Racing who are probably the best known race car fabricators in Europe in the 90's. With an S50 M3 engine and gearbox fitted, it apparently weighed 985kg. That is a really heavy engine, so you could improve on this dramatically by fitting an SR20DET. It's LHD, but converting to RHD would be easy with stock parts. It's currently cobbled together with some Compact running gear to keep it a rolling shell. It has a carbon fibre bagged endurance tank, lexan windows, fibreglass bonnet. We bought a rose jointed rear subframe assembly from another race car for it at great expense which will be included. It's not mint, it's a used race car. It definitely needs some time putting into it, but it's a very solid base for probably the ultimate drift car. I've just mocked up the look we were going to go for by putting the DWS15's wheels on one side, and to be honest it looks so good I don't want to sell it now For sale for £3000. If it doesn't sell for this amount, We'll have to buy a crashed E36 M3 for £1800 and meld the two together for an unbelievably quick car to leave at the Nurburgring
i believe i've seen this car running in zolder back in the day... any race history you know of? too bad you have to sell it , 3K seems like a bargain tho...
Come on Phil, not even a 'long term' project to work on when you have free time? Like, I don't know, having a bbq with DJDrift?
Im breaking my e36 m3 coupe engine is sweet got narly cams in and nice triple plate clutch if u need engine and box
This'd be so awesome if it was drifted. Mega different. Couldn't imagine it being a mega difficult job either, SR20 or M3 engine it and you're away.
Yes, very possibly. The history is pretty patchy, but we know this car was converted from new and has never been road registered. We know that it ran in Belcar and was run by Bigfish racing in the UK in Britcar. Here's a pic of it when it was red in 2005: There's mention of it here: Serverware Racing - Britcar June 2005 Photos This car has the potential to be ruthlessly competitive, but also proper cool looking at the same time and that's a very rare mix.... If people are interested, they need to move fast as we're seriously wavering about selling this...
They drift really well but being a short wheelbase making a turbo engine it makings it very fun to drive!!!!!
now i see the wing , i pretty sure it's the car i was on about, it had some succes in belcar , winning it's class in both the Spa 24 (5th overall) and zolder 24 (4th overall) (i was there , was great to watch) in 2002... the team that ran it fused with another team in 2003 that ran factory spec 911 gt3 rsr's leading to the car being sold... no crash history in belcar i can find , although the front seems to have changed. hope it's usefull information , good luck selling it...
4age and this would be amazing lol. Looks like a good deal though seriously, cage and stuff is well worth it.
my god that ucking hard , now do i sell my gx81 chaser cheap , buy this and use my dakar yellow evo saloon as a doner car for running gear , oh my head hurts now
