Just making sure I label everything and reverse engineer this s**t.

Haha like that drifted look that's never touched a track 180's

I was nervous about cutting the loom but Google is always there to help

With a new job my toolbox has found it's newhome in my shed, finally some good tools to work on the 180sx with.

So that's the dash back in my hands, couldn't have been happier with the results

Suede with blue hand stitching to match the paint, also wrapped the gauge holder in the same suede.

And got a half cage and painted it bayside

Also gave the sr a good clean and test fitted where I want the pod filter to run.

With 4 years passing my time has been focused on the bmw, it did not stay a stock daily driver as I planned. It is a daily so it takes priority over the 180sx, until now.

It began with a 5 speed manual conversion, LSD diff, new m50 motor and a brand new cooling system.

Then some sparkly RS 18x9.5 gold rims.

Adding some brembo 4 pot brakes

And now half way through dying my new electric seats with arm rests and the wood trim interior to ultramarine blue.

With Covid-19 affecting the world right now I am unable to get more dye so that means the bimmer is about to share being my main focus with the 180sx. More to come

Now the bimmer is doing what I bought it for and pulling the 180sx to it's new home. I'm back into mechanics and now working in a small workshop, there is room to store the 180 there so I have easy access to it.

    Let the build continue

Diving back into the build I started where I left off with the rewire and routed the engine bay harness how I want it. And to compliment wiping of the dust I painted the rocker cover and coil cover bayside blue and white. Must stay in theme 20200418_130358.

Yeah that's what's in the plans, I do want this to be a street legal car aswell so most of the electronics needs to be functional still. So functional and simple it's going to be.

Small updates while paying medical bills, busy work hours and trying to pit pass the new car.

New taillights in and painted, got the boot sorted (yet to build the subwoofer box into the trim and fix the tyre cover) with the battery location and painted the strut brace.

And moved it into its new home in the corner so it doesn't get in the way of work

So today's small update is cutting of the supermade bumper, making it look less sad and letting more air to the intercooler.

Just a cut for now but I will be using fibreglass to make a box vent to the intercooler and force that air in

I've purchased a Greddy copy intake manifold to test fit the intercooler piping but my bad and bought the 2 piece manifold... For now it will do.

The plan is to have both intercooler pipes go straight down under the engine bay with room to fit the pod filter behind the passenger side of the front bumper. Build some fibreglass box vents for the intercooler and podfilter. Then relocate the fuel filter next to the fuel tank and keep this engine bay as empty as possible

Today I managed to chip away a little bit more on the front bumper, I have made a cardboard template that I will use the make the fibreglass vent for the intercooler. Just need to coat in fibreglass, sharpen the edges, add a mesh to stop rocks hitting the intercooler and she's ready for paint.

This week's ocd cure was painting the headlight surrounds and cleaning the intercooler which consisted of a full buff (yet to polish) and start on straightening the fins.

Painting the intercooler black was not one of my brightest decisions. Yes I could have just used plastic rejuvenater on the headlight surrounds but I'm more after the gloss black look so painting them it is with the addition of new screws.
