Good choise. there's a bloke on Skyline owners pushing near 400bhp at the wheels with a stock engine with a hybrid and injectors.

    Cheers dude, cool choise.
Yeah updates will happen soon, stuff has happened. But I'm broke, and so was my ramp, then I fixed it, then I started helping my dad prepping one of his Mk1 Escorts for a rally, then he decided he wanted to finally build his MK2 Fiesta panel van with a Zetec, so I v'e been helping him with that. Plus I've been super lazy spending a whole weekend in the sun, eating burgers, drinking and getting fat....er!
Pictures will follow soon, maybe tonight.

Right, this is not so much a Laurel update, just what I have done in the mean time.
Mr Laurels is coming along niceley, Just waiting on a Inlet manifold gasket and some studs to bolt the manifold on, then I can fire it up. I would post updates of it, but photobucket has changed, and Now makes my computer run so slow it has crashed twice, I've been here an hour, I'm bored.

So started the BDC season driving my mate Ash's Supra, beast of a car, then realised I would need a car for the team event, and the Laurel was miles off completion,
So Pulled this out the feild two weeks before round three.

Put stuff back in it, init!

    Put some panels on it

Took it to Shifty Buttnuggets to get legs bent for caging,

    Bendings

    Fitting!

    Paintings!

threw some filler and paint at it

    Then did some hard parking!

Then a I did a couple of skids!

    And some bad ass spinning!

Did pretty shit during the season, managed to finish 7th at Knockhill, which was aweosme.

Had an amazingly fun year and looking forward to the next one.

Laurel updates to follow, but maybe not today.

    right Laurel update time.

So when I left this, the engine bay was about to be painted,
Went to the Automotive Paint Supplies, got industrial paint which is cheap and tough.

    Threw some paint at it.

Being an N/A block it has no oil return, so bought some fittings and a tap...

Fitted an oil feed from the pressure switch.

    Bolted the box on

Inbetween these bit of lovelyness, nestles a greddy flywheel and triple plate clutch.

    Started undersealing.

Then got my graphics sorted for next season,

    More coming soon!

Right so started to bolt things back in the engine bay.

    Cleaned and painted some stuff

    And fitted it.

    Back to the fanimold.

Right original idea was to graft an RB26 mani and Rb25 mani together, didn't really line up so me and MR biscuits went balls deep an made one from scratch, well ish.

we used this off the RB25 manifold

    Modified the top hose,

    Did this

He built up the flanges so I could make ram style ends.

Not perfect but should work well

Not the finished finish, I smoothed them all off.

Bent the ends of the base plate,

Cut a sheet of ally which was professionally rolled over legs and a drain pipe, with just man strength.
    Trimmed it to fit.

Took it back down to Shifty's,
welded the breather and vacum lines in,

    Then he welded some more

Put the closing panel on for the throttle body,

Drilled a small hole, the welded the T/B mounting flange on

He then tigged up my modded bottom hose and intercooler pipe work.

As he's my tig bitch, he then tigged the intercooler for me which I chopped about.

But can't find the welding pics.
    Anyway next update coming.

I need a camera, these pictures are jank.

Joe and Aron popped over and gave us a hand putting the engine in,

Made shonky gearbox mount which I hate, and will re do before I drive it.

    Made a tucked exhaust.

Tail pipe is meant to be set at a jaunty angle,as I ike that, but is not sitting perfectly central, will sort this when I get more 3" pipe.

Got hot in the workshop, so made monkey feet gloves.

I was in a wiring frenzy with this car. I pulled al the loom trough into the cabin, I split most of the loom down to bare essentials, and deleted a lot of it. I then ran the engine loom and brake lines through the tunnel to keep the bay neat

And along under the manifold on the block, This is a mock up photo, will get a better one but it's all in trunking not pikey spec tape now and clipped up with P clips.

Then was talking Crackers, who suggested using tailboard wiring for the lights. genius.

Pulled apart my old tailboard, ran two lengths for the lights, and one for the AFM.

I ran the wires through the A pillar, then in through the upper leg to just behind the lights,

again, it looks nicer than this now, this was while I was wiring it all up

You can also se my janky cuts that I did to get the cooler further forward, again needs triming and tidying up.

Ran the side repeater lines through a small hole to avoid contact with the wheel

    BOOM!

    All working

Bolted all the bits on the bottom of the mani, need to get a flexi bit of pipe or mod the Air valve as the pipe from the intake is pointing right at the block, should fit.

OH yeah, finished the mani off, so the hole was the right size ETC.

    Temporarily bolted it up

Ran the AFM wires through the Chassis leg

the only picture I've got right now

    Fitted some interior back in

Bolted the mani on and fuel lines etc for mock up.

Hated my intercooler mounting, so re designed it to fit better,
    Then test fitted everything,

Just need to get some gaskets, then it's time to fire it up. Got the week off next week to ge i running, then I just need an R33 prop and Slave, if anyone has one for sale let us know.

More to update but just don't have any pictures yet.
