When my Ca18det engine had enough and I went SR I decided to keep hold of all the parts to eventually build myself a table.

As I had free access to a vapour blasting machine and a welder it made sense.

Vapour blasted pistons and rods with ca18det tensioner bearing that so happens to fit perfeclty on the crankshaft.

Spacers rods welded inplace so the bearing can be welded inplace

This was then re-vapour blasted to remove the effects of the welding

    Top section fitted together.

Flywheel base was then powder coated black, I drew out a template to send of to the glass company which was toughened and edges bevelled.

And obviously as it's on a bearing the top spins.

Unsure if this video link of the top spinning will work

    Thoughts on it?
