I have a odd grating rattle on start up it goes after about 3 seconds just sounds a bit odd anyone can shed some light please and also have a odd intermittent miss off boost its judders then hits boost and it's fine I'm thinking either plug coil pack or just some shitty fuel any help is great fully received
Have the same problems with mine, its because its a CA lol Think the first problem might be early signs of bottom end failure/low oil pressure on start up, mine has done it since fitting the temporary engine but has lasted 2 drift days so far *touch wood* it will last a little longer at least. Also the second issue I also have, need to double check my timing as my crank pulley has a few dings/marks on there so not sure if timing is out slightly so that could be something for you to check.
I have timed it up and it's all good then it runs fine then it does it randomly then it's fine again such a odd problem and I hope it's not bottom end as I only just got a new engine ha well I'm sure form the 2 I have I can make 1 good one ha
Are you sure it's not the starter motor sticking? My RB does it... Like squeals for about 2-3 seconds after you start it? Do you get the noise any other time?
Yeah, that's your starter motor then dude. With regards to the misfire, check all your boost pipes and vac pipes for leaks. Then check for a strong spark etc...
