cage tube benda

    any got contacts/recomendations company wise for a cage tube bender!!

    am looking for the pull thro hand lever type NOT the crap clarke/machine mart/cross bow type.


    any help much appreciated

    If you are game to make the cage once you have the bender, then you should have the ability to make your own.

    I did, works a treat!

    and after you've made the cage you can open up a small business making custom exhausts with your little machine.

    got any pics of it, sounds like a good idea. might have a crack at it my self as need a front end of a cage

    Sorry for the late reply, busy at work.

    Hardest part is getting the dies made to the diameter and centre line radius you require:

    But once you have them, its just a really simple frame, think "pair of scissors" with massive leverage:

    Just make sure that you use thick enough steel and that you contain all the force within the jig. I learned the hard way that trying to bend 40mm CDS 3mm wall, even with loads of leverage, was impossible to do whilst holding the bench still :p

    A quick change soon made it hydraulic though:

    Pikey yes, but very cheap (<£100) and produces excellent bends:
