I'm not sure if I'm allowed to list this for sale, please delete advert if this isn't allowed My girlfriend has recently had her lovely little Mazda MX5 written off by some stupid bitch driving into the back of her at a roundabout Insurance company have said its a cat B write off, but the car still runs and drives perfectly fine, albeit its a little bit shorter than it used to be! I paid £1600 for it 18 months ago when it looked like this: but sadly, it now looks like this: Its a '91 1.6 Eunos Roadster with 88k miles, imported in 2003, MOT until September (although thats not really relevant being recorded cat B as I think that means it can't go back on the road). Rust free, Sony stereo, recently new roof with glass rear window, nice tan leather interior with wooden Nardi steering wheel, gear knob & handbrake, also front fog lights. Paint fading near the petrol cap, and the passenger side front wing has a big dent in it in addition to the rear damage as seen in the photos. We'd like £375
Not sold - we've still got it. I'm still waiting for Emma to get confirmation from her insurance company that we're actually allowed to sell it
tell them its in a storage company's indoor compound and they would like to know whose name from your insurance company they should write on the invoice. that should provoke a reaction.
Finally today got written confirmation that they do not require a certificate of destruction, and we are free to do what we want with it SO - running, drivable MX5 with roof in good condition, tan leather/wood interior, less damage than most cars arrive at Birmingham Wheels with, for £300 before it goes on eBay this Sunday evening.
Seeing as how everyone on ebay is a dribbling moron, we've decided to keep it and build a kit car Interior parts, including tan leather seats and Nardi wheel, will be put up for sale shortly
