thanks guys, it is the standard viper gearbox that is fitted. The vid there is the hardest it has been driven continuous so far and just 3rd gear in that. I have a track night up here at Knockhill on saturday, now i know i can drift it a bit, i am going to try and drive it the more traditional way, Ex Porsche N1 touring car slicks fitted for it so we see how i do with that.
exelent car man seems to be running very well and with all the testing your doing you and the car should run really well this season
thanks, yeah i hope so anyway. Saturday went really well, very different to the RB power and with the slicks was planted quite well on track with no scary moments at all. What i was happier with was changing to the tyres i drift with and loved that even more, what is really crazy is that i was getting similar times with the drifty tyres as the slicks, weird
Had good fun watching this at R1 and 2 bud... was mental watching the inside front wheel lift off the ground as she squats from the torque mid drift! Btw you practicing with Bizz 1 nissans - 18 cylinders = win
ha ha yeah, its pretty nuts but as i have found i have few things still to do. The first run with keeber, the snake bit me in the arse but the end of the second run i just kept the boot in as it sounded too cool to lift off and i knew he never made a mistake so just went for it The torque is just nuts and have to tweek it for more grip on the back etc so we will see next time.
this is one cool car i cant wait to see it in action again. have you seen the viper powerd bike. now thats a crazy build lol
Amazing Work and Car ! There is a similar swap taking place in a drift car near where I live ( Canada ) except it is being shoved into a Honda S2000 Here are a few shots of it And again, Great work on the S15 !
thanks again for the kind words guys, really appreciate them. The honda is an inspired idea and using the newer engine is working perfect for it also, it looks a nicer fit with the slimmer inlet manifold. I hope you get it there soon, i absolutley love these engines and the cars, good luck to get it finished guys. p.s if you know where the engineless chassis is i will take it i am wanting to eventually end up with a whole car someday
Quick update,, still loving the car and engine. it is weird driving an N/A engine with so much power and torque when i am so use to turbo cars. some pics here from BDC Norfolk and other places, thanks to the guys for the pics Check the bend!!! Not bad for a heavy engine in the front and it still lifts. Working on the suspension now Thanks for looking again guys, some more work to do. I never believed i could have it perfect right away but it could still take to the end of the year to have it worked out We see how for i get, but its a hell of a ride so far.
it sounds frickin awesome and just tried to keep the build as simple as i could, seems to be working okay for now
