I've been pricing up a cometic headgaskets for my turbo M50 build.

Are there cheaper options as the cometic is coming back at over £200.

Has anybody ever had positive results using two head gaskets together?

Two decent headgaskets won't be far off that price.

How often do you wanna be taking the head off then? Just pay the price and do it right the first time :)

A mate of mine has a twin charged e36 compact (m44 tho) and swears by cometic gaskets.

As said, pay once and forget it.

Or buy cheaper, end up changing it and having bits skimmed again etc. Not worth cutting corners there.

Fair enough. Just thought there may be other brands I hadn't thought of. I will be ordering the cometic next week.
