I'm going to order a custom build lsd for my 328is. For just over 500 quid I will get 40% 2WAY lsd on 4 friction plates with any ratio I like. What ratio will be best for drifting with stock power or with m50 manifold with remap and decat? What do you think about that lsd? Is it gonna perform just as good on the track as welded diff? Thanks for advice
Depends on the track and tire size. But I daily my 325i with welded 3.45 diff and honestly I would probably prefer something like 3.3 . I wouldn't do anything crazy high or something.
It wouldn't cost me that much coz atm there's a fully functional stock lsd in the car that I would sell for about 250-300 quid. I'm going to drive the car on the road aswell and I'm not sure what my insurance will say if I mention a welded diff... I don't mind spending 200-300 if it will drift well.
Pretty retarded to drive it on the road with 3.73, also you can probably build the stock LSD to 40% lockup so I don't see the point. Also who cares about telling the insurance company anything? Just get a welded 325 diff they have a slightly better ratio you will love it. Did I mention I make 3000RPM at 60mph on the highway? I get retarded MPG's. Have fun changing gears all the time in your 3.73 I figured out my mistakes after 3 years.
Thanks mate. I'll go for 325i welder... And spend money on other stuff. There's plenty of expenses coming...lol
Finally I've put 3.15 welded diff from 325i and I love it. Fuck lsd it would be just a stupid waist of money. Thanks all for good advice!
