your going to get a lot of body roll and lose overall feel over the car, a better option would be a stiffer rear sway bar/springs if you want to reduce understeer.
The body roll is nill as my front suspension is so hard and also i jave stiffened the rear anti roll bar. I urge any of you to try it, it makes a huge difference
You've made a statement saying you know how to set up cars but from what I can see you haven't even removed the roll bar? Just cut the links off? And badly by the looks of things.
The roll bar doesnt move hardly at all even when disconnected how i have. all you need to do is remove the small drop link i then too out the nut so for mot etc can simply bolt on the drop bar. I did that at both sides and fully removed it didnt think id need to post pics of that up ...... Setting up a car is not cutting a bar !!
with those z3 reinforcer plates, do they just sit topside of the shocker so in the boot, remove the two 13? mm bolts each side and fit plates? thats how i did mine but not sure if that was correct or not :/ looking good, p.s i have some 15 inch alloys with tyres if your interested
Yeah you need them top side for them to work pal Today has honestly been one of the best days ever!!!! The car was spot on i had one small issue all day when the junilee failed on the top radiator hose but i fixed that in under ten mins. The humberslide drift scene is epic only 10 cars so we had soooooo much track time this was my first time i learnt soooo much the car felt soo good i pushed really hard and even ended up twinning on my first ever day haha Here's a vid from the car behind The car above initaly was a twat to get sideways later it got easier i had too much psi up frot lowered it to 20 up front and 45 back and the car was spot on !!! Few pics but ill whore with them tomorrow / tuesday What a buzzzzzing day cant wait for more !!!! Humberslide drift days
Few snaps of a tiny bit of battle danage all ive broken was the rear valance but ive hated the ac snitzer exhaust surround since i bought the car so my mate has kindly given me his old one !!! Repping the humberslide guys And steve from Elite Developments !! I eat cones !!! Tagging cones !! Broke the valance clips
Sooooo to aid cooling etc i have raised the bonne not a massive fan of the look but it aids cooling Few more pics for drift day !! Twinning yooooo
Really ?? It gives somewhere for all the heat to go i raised it a tiny bit on the da and i could see whe parked up all the hot air coming out?? Also i dit get how it cant work it gives somewhere for the hot air to go ???
when you're driving at reasonable speed that area is an area of high pressure. so in theory i guess the outside air could push the hot air back in. Generally in drifting though, you give it short bursts then leave it too cool, in which case this is probably usefull
Went to bolton to collect a new boot today, also fitted it and it was more of a nighmare with the wirin that i thought plus the mechanism on the one i collected i found it was faulty when i got home so i swapped all that over then spend 2 hours rewiring it all but much prefer the look of e36's without a spoiler !!! Before After Thoughts ?? Couldnt just take the old spoiler off as the boot was rotton as hell so needed a new one anyways not bad for £25
36's do look better without a spoiler, but at the moment I'm some what of a fan of the GT spoiler. (roof spoilers look good too)
