Could someone please explaine the difference between Mark II, Cresta and Chaser for me?
Or is it just the body and interior thats not the same?

The models im interested in are the jzx81. jzx90 and the jzx100, dont know which yearmodel thats the one to look fore so to speak, but i hope someone here can explain for me.

Engine? Gearbox? Suspension? And so on, which one is the best to build or buy to use as a driftcar?

Bodywork and interior differences only. make sure its a 1JZ equipped one as standard as the suspension is a different design on the others and not as good. 81 and 90 will cost about the same (£5000 up from japan for a sorted one) 100 will cost more (£7000ish)

jzx81 would probably be lightest but not as stiff as the others
jzx90 are awesome but do weigh as much as r33 skylines
jzx100 are still expensive but have a better 1jz engine

not solely because i have one for sale id reccommend the jzx90 as its newer than the 81 and cheaper than the 100

If it starts with JZX it will always be a 1J, GXs are the shit models.

Bodywork, on an 81 anyhow, is suprisingly different, even tho it looks the same! Bootlid on a Chaser is about 1cm wider than a Mk2 Bootlid, bizzare.

JZX81 Chaser front ends look the best, tho JZX81 Mark2 rear ends look the best.

And im pretty sure JZX81s are actually the heaviest!

JZX81s generally cost loads as they have gained "classic" status, like AE86s etc, and they my faves for sure.

But all JZXs are totally badass IMO :worthy:

What i should have said is make sure its a genuine JZX rather than a gx with a 1j in!!

    JZX91 and JZX93 were N/A 2JZ.....

Okey, thanks for the good answers.

I must say that the jzx81 is the coolest one of them.
    But they all look great.
So you can recomend the jzx90 thats is a genuine JZX then.

How are this machines to tune? As far as I know the engine is really good, but how is it whit the transmission?

engine and transmission are great. 1jzgte is probably the highest regarded engine on here by most people. the transmission is good too. have a look at nicad7 and cptsideways projects in the project section for info on what these engines can do. i would deffo recommend a jzx90 as i have an incredibly rare factory manual one for sale for mega cheap

Okey, sounds like the jzx whit 1jzgte is a verry good car for tuning and drifting then.

Does parts like suspensiondetails fits from other cars on the jzx90?

I have seen your car on the salessection cookwibble and I like that one, but Im not gonna buy a car yet, hopefully im gonna buy one during the winter.
But it seems to be a really nice car.

Does the most jzx90 have a automatic transmission from factory?
