New version of the Drift Monkey Part II - a little bit longer. Youtube founded the first version a little bit too extreme YouTube - DRIFT IN NORWAY Part I still available YouTube - DRIFT MONKEY part 1 Norway is definitly on my 2010 calendar shooting. I've never seen such extreme drift & timeattack session at the same time.
Thanx for reviving GOOD memories from the season, cant wait untill next Hope to see as many as possible @Gatebil 2010
Great vids there mate I so need to get over there at some point, they all seem to have silly power, its like 600+ bhp or go home
The Norwegians have far too much money But judging by that it doesn't mean the drifting is up to the UK's standard IMO. There were a couple of crazy moves going on in there though like the overtake drift at ridiculous speed Who bought the red and black ryo ps13? I wanted that car so badly
That video is just your normal drivers you see on track at Gatebil events, its not like clips from a UK drift event, its like clips from track sessions at a normal UK show. Trust me, the sideways driving skill of your average person on track over there is a 1000 times better than your average UK track goer, whats you see in that video is what its all like over there, trust me, ive been. If you talking a drift comp, who knows, we have awesome drifters in the UK so if it was a comp I bet we'd win, but if we talking what you see in that vid, ie the normal track sessions at Gatebil events, they are on another planet of goodness compared to the UK, I mean not even the tinyest bit close.
no wonder, with the amount of snow there they're used to drift. I heard they had to know how to do a powerslide for their driving license. Heard if its tue that's another story
When we take the course for getting the drivers licence we have to have a "slippery surface course" that includes "losing" control of the car and bringing it back, braking, "elk test" or quick manouver to avoid an object and some other stuff. Its a day we preferably take before getting the licence, however if you take a quickcourse during the summer its acceptable to take the "slippery surface course" during the next two years in your trial period. If you dont take your licence is not valid after two years.
I'm having that one in 3 weeks, and it needs to be done before you do your driving test Will be great fun!
Yes, that together with 2x4hrs on the road with the "langkjøring" I'm driving a brand new A4 S-Line, so I'm not complaining
1.35 ish you can see and hear JT's quad rotor FD, aaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing Edit. Also at around the 6min mark dragging with the Pikes Peak rep Quattro
