An S2000 with a knackered engine has come in as a new project for DriftGarage.

Firstly old knackered F20 had to be removed:

One of the mounts was a bit seized:

Plenty of room for an SR20?

Then the test fitting of the SR20DET:

All updates going on the Driftgarage blog here: DriftGarage | Nissan 200SX and Skyline Road, Drift and Race preparation

    and of course on facebook:
    DriftGarage | Facebook

More updates to hopefully follow tomorrow, where more work will be done to get the SR20 to fit.

Customers car. Scooby isn't being done now. In order for it to take the amount of power Mitch wanted for it, it would need loads of mods to the rear subframe, and became a bit of a financial white elephant due to the amount of custom shit.

    That looks right at home!

The only thing that put me off s2000's was the shitty lack of torque, fudging awesome to see this being done! Go on the Mitch :D

This is one of the strangest builds i've seen in this page :D I'm not saying that sr engines are crap, but f20 is an awesome bulletproof engine. both engines have its pros and cons but i don't think that building sr20 engine for this car would be cheaper than buying another f20 and going turbo.

Well when an SR20 costs £1k, including turbo etc, plus a bit in labour/time, I struggle to see how a turbo'd F20 would be competitively priced? Haha.

Mitch is the main man, making it look easy when I was down there yesterday! Very methodical and thorough in his work, even on a completely strange car to him. Brilliant :worthy: Can't wait to see this finished.

You mean the awesome bulletproof engine thats been removed because its blown up??

SR20 are much cheaper than an F20.
Its turbo already, parts are everywhere.
    It just makes sense.

I might be wrong cause i cannot tell by those pictures, but as i imagine by the looks of pistons and block, engine has seen lots of detonation, so it's not the problem of mechanical side of the engine but something with the tune or other problems
