Some shots of a drift school run by the guys at Driftsouth in Christchurch New Zealand. Turn out was good with everyone practicing the the high speed sweeper. Only one incident where the yellow s13 caught on fire.
man i need to get out that asap. is it expensive to find a car? i was looking on trademenz and shit is expeeeeeeeensive
Depends what you're looking for. Just about every cefiro/skyline/silvia/laurel has been raped by some wanna be street drifter, hence the price of those cars has gone up. If you're just wanting to build a track only car then it's cheap. Getting a modified car road legal here can be a pain in the ass (but believe me it's a million times easier than Australia). When browsing trademe look for cars that already have the LVV cert plate fitted and look at what it's been certified for. Yes these cars are more expensive, but it's better than going through the hassle yourself, that's if you want a road car. That laurel is not legal for NZ roads (although the owner drove it round for quite a while before getting stickered). I can't stress enough that you study up on our laws before buying a car, last thing you want is to pulled over and have your new car stickered. I think NZ is shifting towards track only cars now as the laws are getting a bit tougher.
