I'm also still after some coilovers for an FD and I'm going to be needing them in the next few weeks. So If DW can't do it I'll have to go elsewhere.

agree with the man, these coilovers are nuts. sooo comfortable and even set on hard they don't feel like your gonna shit out your spine when you hit a bump. Man foot needed cause my car grips like crazy now.

We've got our test set arriving in the next couple of weeks. Once they are fitted and tested, we'll place the stock order, and realistically they'll be here around March..

That should be fine with me. Now I know you're going to do them I'll happily wait.

Would be very interested in the coilovers for the FD too. Fed up with buddyclub coilovers as a welded piece of scaffold would be more comfortable and the tein ones go all emotional and leak as soon as they take a glimpse at a car!

We're awaiting an update, and to be honest are not expecting them at any point soon.. If your desperate we can probably source you a set of Ksports..

I'm in the same boat as you. My 86 desperately needs the coilovers as I've hacked the springs to death :wack:..

We received our test set of FD Control System yesterday, they should be on the car and tested soon, and as soon as we can confirm there's no fitting issues, we'll be placing an order :)

have you had any experience with these? they are the only legal coilovers for the AE86 in Switzerland...

Also any idea what D2 ones are like as these seem quite cheap to buy.
I will prob just wait till the DW ones come out, as seem the best quality from what I have read.

They are what we would describe as entry level, but we used to sell a reasonable amount of them for the Nissans before we made our own coilovers. If there's a choice between Ksport and Driftworks, the answers obvious, but if there's only Ksport available, and they are the only coilovers you can use in your country, we will gladly supply you with a set :)

Cheers I'll be getting some DW coils from you for my S-Body no doubt but the K-Sport need to be bought here because of the legal papers that go with it :(

    cheers for your input

PS: I'd go for the DW ones for the AE86 but getting them legal would be ~1-2k GBP just for a piece of paper... but I'll let you know if I win the lottery ;)

What happens if you have your car registered as x-type (ie an import)? Can't you just go crazy with the mods?

unfortunately not anymore... you have a little bit more freedom but and this is a big BUT they don't allow conversions to x-type from swiss registred cars anymore (well they do sometimes but that'll be in excess of 5k GBP and no garanty to be a success) :(

It still sucks here, also the reason why my s-body is and always will be trailerqueen:cry:

Can the bottom mounts be changed for S14 items on an S13? For fitment to 5-stud S13?
