    Evening,

Being to young to insure something Jap and turbo it was the non ///M 6 pot BMW route. After a few attempts to buy a drifter scarpered.
I went and picked this up today :

The car is solid underneath all the right bits to make it a sorted car, body work is tatty as fuck and hadn't been washed in a year. The rear arches need redoing as they've been rolled harshly and sprayed badly, rust on body work and loads of scratches and scrapes arn't concerning me to much.
    Spec :
    Z3 Rack
    E46 bottom arms
    4mm Rack spacers
Willwood Hydraulic handbrake with Driftworks flexi lines
    Welded diff
    Coilovers
    M3 top mounts
    Cobra Monaco bucket
    Stripped rear
    E39 wheels
    Doubled up rear ARB
    Dished steering wheel
    and various other mods.
Got it home and washed it inside and out, it was filthy even though it's a tramp drifter I can't deal with dirty/messy cars :hehe:

There's a few niggles to sort, rattling exhaust and a leaky cam cover gasket that leaks oil onto exhaust and stinks the car out.
All in all with MOT until December, tax until August and 4 spare rear tyres I payed just a grand for this bundle of joy.
Can't wait to abuse the shit out of it..... O yeah..... It's my daily driver for a while :hehe:

Got a few things done today, wired the fan and switch in, replaced both rear top mounts and tried to replace rocker cover gasket but due to it having a 328 Rocker cover on it (so the filler cap is closer to the front) it didn't fit :@ So I now have a new rad (due to crack in expansion bottle) and cam cover gasket on the way. I shall try again next weekend.

Tried to make the fan switch look sort of OEM..

Cheers lads. Hope to have it all working this week again to continue the daily drive.

Trying to find some more cheap wheels for it and some cheap E34 BBS if anyone's got any.

Hoping to be at 'pod on the 15th.... Cannot wait !

    It's alive !

Cam cover gasket is all good, it took 3 attempts to get the right one due to the different rocker cover.

New rad on, absolute cunt to bleed took like an hour and 30litres of water with the front jacked right up. Also got the fan in and working a treat. Top mounts have made alot of difference so there's only 99 rattles opposed to 101 now ;)

Looking forward to Pod, got some skid rims and a set of E31 BBS Style 8's that look pretty mad on it as road wheels.

Great day (well morning) at Pod.

Car was great and really loved the set up. Unfortunately a tug on the hydro in the dry just before lunch burst a rear brake hose which was a shitter as I was about to go out on the top track. Always next time !
Game over :( interesting drive home that's for sure, got a few little videos with an hour or so of seat time.
