E36 steering wheel boss.

    Hello everyone

    Planning on getting the missis a deep dish steering wheel and boss for her e36.

    My question is.

    Will I need to run a shallow boss with the deep dish wheel ?

    I don’t want to bring the steering wheel to close to the driver.

    Can people post there opinion/pics and set up please.

    The £15 eBay specials are fine with a deeper style steering wheel.

    Disagree,

    A lot of the ebay bosses have a lot of play/slack which is the last thing you want to feel through the steering wheel. Don't cheap out on important parts!



    Get one of these and a deep dish steering wheel

    Anyone got pics of a shallow boss and a non shallow boss fitted with a deep dish wheel.
    Just for perspective.

    Any other shallow bosses available?

    In fairness, I don't think the OP or ShaunV90 mentioned a snap off boss.

    I think they were just talking about the boss/steering wheel hub, which having previously had on cars I've bought, I've never had any issues with - just usually heavier than the likes of OMP/HBK etc.
