The track for this event wil be mittos portable gear so it'll be a proper circuit Big thanks to Mitto,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Should be able to make this. I've missed drifting on carpet. If it's Matts roadrail that Mitto is lending you then it could be a bit big in places, unless he's cut some lengths down. We use the same stuff for the D1RC exhibition events. See you there!
I haven't asked Matt about using his road rail yet, although I'm sure it won't be a problem we plan on using it to boarder the track with. I will be bringing my team tetsujin kerbing along to use... Not sure if you've had a blast with it yet? It's pretty awesome though! Should also be bringing a big stack of carpet tyres too... I'll confirm the price on these ASAP! Looking forwards too it though, I love drifting on carpet
Rob phoned me yesterday and told me about the new tyres i'm really looking forward to seeing them I also hear a trip to Driftworks is in order so i'll see you there! Ok you two are both on the list numbers are growing nice and fast this should be a good event
Mitto what are the names of the Driftworks staff members that are coming? That wasn't meant to be a snipe at you on D1RC although to be fair it sounded like it was haha! Sorry dude, i've explained myself a little better on there
Not 100%sure if i will be back in time for this as i am away working, should know within the next week or so.
Ok guys, A lot of people have been asking me about track etiquette recently and I was thinking about Norfolk Arena with its 'A' and 'B' lanes and was basically thinking about doing the same thing here. So, basically, when you sign in you determine yourself as either a 'pro' driver or an 'ametuer' (don't type that word in google :$) and you will given a coloured sticker to put on your windscreen which allocates you to which ever group you pick (for example blue stickers are pros, red stickers are ams). Then during the open practise we will run the groups alternatly in 5 minute sessions, the start and end of each session signalled by a bell or something. Obviously if you don't feel comfortable in a particular group you can move up or down groups and likewise if we thing you are in the group you don't belong we will ask you to swap groups. And finally if people are deliberately crashing into people or doing something stupid we will just kick them out. Thanks guys, sorry for the serious note but it had to be said Hope to see you all on the 2nd
yeah thats true! Ok if we say 20 minute sessions that gives everyone enough track time without too long to wait around Wall running competitions and such won't be divided by class I'm going to find some bits and peices to use as prizes for the fun stuff
sorry, this might just be me being ignorant but would i have to sign up or could i just turn up on the day??
