What could you do to supply and fit the engine into my Evo, and could you take mine in exchange? The only known mechanical fault is a vanos issue with mine, plus im sure the pipes/gaskets you changed may also be in need of attention. Just a thought really, not something i was planning on doing right now. Either way its a good price for the engine with the work that's been done. I assume it got ARP'd? I saw you mention it but don't recall seeing it done?
open to sensible offers going to breaking the engine next week for parts so if you want anything let me know.
I did say sensible offers only For £1000 you can have head and block, complete, nothing bolted on the sides and no sump or oil pump, no rocker covers ect. just engine.
A serious list would be the following. Vanos - depending on condition, has to be cheap to make it worthwhile as i can get a recon unit from mr vanos for £800 fitted. Any Vacuum or Breather Pipes - I believe you replaced all of these so should be in good condition? Power steering pipes - Also dependent on condition, mine are currently weeping.
Hey I wouldn't sell the Vanos, as it would be something I would keep for myself as it was quiet, the vacuum lines would be good but depends on which ones you wanted, power steering lines i couldn't sell in full faith they didn't weep too, as I basically got the car, did some skids then took it apart to do a project and cleaned everything so.. just being honest lol. but it does look like I'm going to be splitting the engine.. last bump, £2000 with 5 speed box!!!! so cheap !!! NO OFFERS.
